What's your opinion on buying expensive name brand Boutique clothes for someone as a gift off of a resale site for a much cheaper price.

So I know a couple of ladies that either have just had a baby girl or is about to and I need to buy a gift. I would like to get them a nice outfit but dont want to spend a ton considering we are not real close. I've seen some super cute outfits from a big name brand that usually run 60+ shipping and tax, on a resale group new and still has the tags for $25. I can't decide if it's a smart move to save the money or if its just being cheap. Yes I know I can get them something else but just need others opinions.

I also will add my version of "expensive" may differ from others.
