FaceTime or Phone call? Help!

So recently this guy that I have known since childhood has reconnected with me since we started working together.. we’ve been talking for a few weeks and he mentioned we should call eachother or FaceTime, I’m just wondering which would be less awkward? I feel like on FaceTime I can actually do stuff (cook, clean my room, whatever) and get through the inevitable awkward silences. But phone calls are more traditional and I’ve never done that with a guy... so ladies which is better?
