Laureline for a name?

My hubby is so stuck on laureline for our girls name. Is it really weird? Ive never heard of it before. (We are in USA, apparently its French origin) I feel like people are going to hear Lorelai, also I don't really like Laura for a nickname. Thoughts? Pretty, feminine, weird, no-go?

Eh sounds weird I think Lorelai is similar but sounds and looks better imo

I think unique names are wonderful. I’m naming my son a strange name as well, I get quite a bit of hate for it, but at the end of the day it is MY son
