Do you have the same rules for both your son and daughter?

My mom didn’t. My brother was allowed to do more than me, and at earlier ages. She’s doing this again with my little siblings. She even told me that she told my sister “ I’m sorry, but things are different for both boys and girls.”. I understand but at the same time I just think it should be based more on maturity. My sister is way more mature than my brother although he is older. What do you think? I just want to learn all opinions and views especially since I have a daughter and a son on the way.
