I keep reading different things but is it safe ? My mom made it with precooked shrimp & imitation crab that said it was cooked.

Real ceviche is raw and “cooked” with an acid like lime juice, that’s not safe...with precooked fish it is!

I probably wouldnt eat it unless I recooked the meat myself before mixing it. Just like with lunch meat. Definitely wouldnt want to have seafood poisoning of all meats.

If everything is cooked and it stays cold, it should be fine. I’ve had cooked ceviche a few times this pregnancy and everything was fine. I’m now 35 weeks.
