Checked for dilation

I just got checked today and am 3cm 50% effaced and they told me I’m going to feel uncomfortable for a day or two and might have some spotting. Well I’m extremely uncomfortable to the point when I get a Braxton Hicks I can’t breath or move my stomach gets so tight. And it feels like I’m getting lots more pressure too. Wondering if this is still normal or if I should call?
