I almost went through with the abortion bc of that. I cancelled my appointment bc I knew I would resent him. I told him his options were he could either leave and I wouldn’t resent him and I’d raise the baby alone, or he could stay and make this work and raise the baby with me. He said he chose me and would always choose me. Then I made my own decision. I thought about the real shit we’d have to deal with as parents, and figured out what was right for me. I still chose to go through with the abortion, but I was able to make the decision on my own and it was in no way him pushing me to do it

I wouldn’t be with someone that forced you to have an abortion. It’s just time to walk away at that point.

This poll doesn’t apply to me. I had an abortion because I didn’t want to be pregnant and I wasn’t ready to be a parent. It just so happens that he felt the same. However our relationship did end a year later. I knew it wasn’t a good situation and that it would end eventually which is why I didn’t want to be pregnant.

Well I’ve never been in this situation, but don’t base your choice of whether to have an abortion or of how it may potentially affect your relationship. Base it off of what is best for YOU AND ONLY YOU! Nobody can predict the future and just because a relationship doesn’t work out sometimes mean it was because someone chose to get an abortion, that’s just simply because the relationship wasn’t strong enough. Just like people should t have kids to try to save a relationship. Never base your decisions for your life and body off of your relationship’s longevity. If it’s real they’ll be there through thick and thin. It’s that simple.
