Is clindamycin good to get rid of tonsillitis?

I’m taking clindamycin I stopped for some days started up again and I’m not feeling better , I can’t take penicillin or amoxicillin I believe I’m allergic the only thing that helped me before was the z pack , and I’m supposed to take this clindamycin 3 times a day for 10 days , it doesn’t feel like it’s improving my throat I’m still drained so idk if I should keep trying this or go back to the hospital for a z pack .

You need to take the meds as prescribed. Stopping them could make your sickness worse. Antibiotics keep working in your system for up to 10 days after taking the entire regimen
