Is it okay for a pregnant woman to work 10 hours a day standing up?

Okay girls so I’m pregnant I am currently 6 weeks and 5 days. I work as a waitress so I have to work 10 hours a day all week, I have been having severe back pain, I already talked to my manager and they know I’m pregnant but they don’t want me to work half a day the want me to work all day and if I don’t want to they are going to fire me, what should I do? Is it okay for a pregnant woman to be standing all day?  This is my first pregnancy.

Yep. Not working anymore but I was working 8-12 hour shifts as a nursing assistant on my feet constantly and heavy lifting and my baby girl is perfectly fine. It's just going to get harder as you get further along

I stood on my feet all day being a vet tech .. I took short breaks through the day, wore belly bands, comfy shoes. You can get compression socks

If you aren't having any side effects from standing too long then it's perfectly fine

Yea you need to be drinking a lot of water. Dehydration can cause a lot of aches and pains.

I work in a pharmacy and sometimes we’re short staffed and I gotta work from 8a-9p. In a nicer way of saying things (unlike other people) you are very early in your pregnancy and if you’re feeling pain now I would suggest doing stretches in the morning or bed bedtime if you can. It’s not going to get easier as the time goes on. Maybe briefly, but I know having a job that requires you to be on your feet all day is challenging. A lot of people do it though. Just gotta find remedies that will help along the way.

I waitress as well- have my whole pregnancy, and am 33 weeks tomorrow. 
I will say, I work less hours than I used to.. But still 6-8 hour shifts on my feet. I honestly think it’s been good for me physically to stay active  the whole time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes it is okay. Your back will hurt and later you may have swelling in you feet and legs but it's fine.
