Membrane Sweep

I’ve just had my first sweep at 39+4 weeks. The consultant said that my cervix has began to soften and the babies head isn’t too high up so I’m hoping it kicks starts labour! I had a scan this morning and the baby’s weight is estimated at 8.8lbs but she said that it’s a normal/good weight so they don’t want to induce me yet.

Does anyone know the chances of a membrane sweep working? I’m booked in again next week for another but that feels so long too wait and I feel like the baby is going to be so big!
