any at-home cures for infection?? helpppp!

hey ladies!! i’m a young teenager and ... it smells off “down there”and it’s strong. but that’s all. just the really weird smell. i keep thinking that it might be a yeast infection and i’m afraid to talk to my mom about it, is there any at-home ways to cure it ? (i’m sorry, i don’t know much about this)

No, there are no foolproof ways to cure any kind of vaginal infections at home without a trip to the store.
If you think you have an infection, you need to see a doctor. There are many kinds of infections, but the most common are Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) and yeast infections. They often have identical symptoms, but they’re treated very differently. One requires antibiotics that have to be prescribed and the other can be treated with an anti fungal cream either over the counter, or by an oral pill you can take that’s prescribed by a doctor.
Almost all women will get a vaginal infection at least once, so your mom almost positively has had one, so don’t be afraid to talk to her about it. But you do need to see a doctor.
If it’s not an infection, don’t worry. Smells can be normal, and your vagina is supposed to have a scent. Sometimes it smells more or less than other times, but that’s not necessarily bad. So long as it doesn’t smell like something is rotting (like rotten eggs or fish for example), it’s probably fine.
Make sure when you’re washing yourself that you do NOT use soap on the inside. You really don’t need soap at all, just warm water and a wash cloth to wipe between the folds. The inside of your vagina is self-cleaning.

A warm bath with two cups of apple cider vinegar helps. Usually takes a couple times. If it doesn’t work you should see a doctor. Also probiotics for vaginal health.
