previously I was engaged, it was a 1 year and 4 month relationship and we were waiting until marriage for anything sexual, due to religious beliefs and my fear of sex from being raped at 19

Whenever you're ready, you're ready. We waited maybe 2 or 3 months but I was a virgin. Been together almost 3 years now and I'm still glad it was him. Just make sure you're both comfortable and feel safe. Use protection!!!

I just went with what felt right for each person. Some people I dated and just knew I wouldn’t ever want to have sex with, other people it just felt like the right time.
