Being with an older guy?

Question

So I’ve met the most amazing guy and now I’m needing help! 
At first the 10 year age gap worries me, but after spending time together, it’s not an issue at all. However, I’m not used to being with someone of this age difference (he’s 39 and I’m 29) but... 
Now I’m a little worried when he goes a little quiet, he’s mentioned before that he does go quiet and I guess that’s something I’m going to need to get used to (anxiety and all) 
So are guys that are older, actually more mature or do they still play the same games as guys in their 20’s??

I think everyone’s different. You would hope being a bit older, he would be more mature. But that’s not necessarily the case I suppose. 
I will say, being a quiet isn’t always necessarily a bad thing. I personally find it really hard to open up to people and express how I’m feeling or what I’m thinking. And it took time for me to open up to my boyfriend, it wasn’t because I didn’t trust him. 
Give it time, and as long he does open up to you in time.

My man is 14 years older than I am and it's a wonderful relationship. I love the fact that he is older and has much more life experience which has come useful to me bc I know I can turn to him for advice. However, with experience came the issue that bc he's older, he has been with more women than I have been with guys and it made me feel insecure for a while. I'd always find myself asking him if I'm any good in bed or good at being the partner he needs. Eventually, I got over the insecurity but it was a hassle.
Other than that, being with an older man is great if both partners are truly ready to accept that there might be more challenges (mainly based on how large the gap is) but having a more experienced partner usually means communication between the two is better bc he would know what he expects from you and you can determine if he's really right for you.

I’ve seen relationships with large age gaps be wonderful things and the people involved be head over heels in love and happy.
My experience was not one of those.
The guy I dated was 11 years older than me and was a narcissist and was super controlling. And while he was all bad, the blame for wasting as much time with him as I did ultimately falls on me because I’m the one who told myself that what I was seeing was wrong. Some of that came from him manipulating me, but if I’m being honest, A LOT of it came from me being willfully ignorant. I regret my relationship with him very much. Absolutely nothing good came of it. But this could have been the case whether he was 11 years or 11 days older than me. His age didn’t make him a narcissist. He just was one. The age gap was irrelevant to our problems.
The guy I’m seeing now is 5 years older than I am and is honestly the best relationship that I have ever been in. So not a huge age gap, but still a good guy.
Age gaps can mean absolutely nothing. If you have a lot in common with the guy and you enjoy being with him and he’s a nice guy then go for it.

My bf is 10 years older than me as well I’m about to be 29. We don’t have a perfect relationship but honestly who does. We’ve had our bumps in the road here and there but generally we don’t argue. We always have a good time. At the end of the day I think it depends on the person and what they’ve been through to really truly know. My bf was in the military for almost 15 years but he still loves to have fun and just enjoy everyday. We all can be immature at times but knowing wether it’s seriously done to hurt you or someone is something we have to spot. Actions speak.
