I’m at 13 weeks and I only have 1 ultrasound from back when I was around 4 weeks.. obviously at 4 weeks there is not much to see on an ultrasound except for maybe the sac. The only reason why I even have that one is because at the beginning of my pregnancy I was bleeding and I had to go into the ER a couple of times which is where I had that one done to see if they found anything abnormal that may have been causing the bleeding and my mom told the nurse if she could give me a picture of what we were seeing on the screen to which she replied ‘why do you want a picture there is no baby in there yet’ plus ‘I wouldn’t go around telling people thats a baby’ I obviously wasn’t even going to show that to anyone I just wanted it as a memory which I’m glad I had my mom ask otherwise to this day I would have absolutely nothing about my baby. I just feel like they don’t really care about me or that I’m getting the attention I want. I heard most girl have their first pre natal apt at the end of their 1st trimester and it’s quite long because they explain everything you should and need to know but I’ve had one apt with my actual obgyn at almost 11 weeks (they did not believe there be a point on seeing me any earlier than that) which I guess it’s understandable. and the wait was literally longer than the actual apt if anything about 15 minutes at most. at that apt he hadn’t even scheduled an ultrasound he just went in with the Doppler to hear the heart beat which he couldn’t pick up but even with that I still have yet to actually hear my babies heart beat 😞 he did go get a small screen and found the baby and he showed me a small flickering that was honestly so hard for me to even see with how small the screen was and how fast he did it and he didn’t even give me a picture or tell me anything else and sent me on my way.

I just want to hear from other ladies if you guys have had more ultrasounds done by the end of your first trimester or if what I’m experiencing is normal?

I’m a FTM so I really don’t know what to expect I guess I just assumed they would tell me more and give me more information but nothing so far...

He also told me at my apt that the next time he will be seeing me would be at 20 weeks and I asked if there would be an ultrasound then and he said ‘no it’s just a check up’

Please help... should I switch clinics or am I just over reacting. ?
