I Cried Last Night

I laid in my bed and held my little boy. My fiancé sat next to us and smiled. My eyes landed on his hand, his fingers. I put his hands flat over mine and just looked at them. Then I cried. I cried because he's getting so big. His hands are so much bigger than when he was born. His nose is so much bigger. His eyes are more alert. He needs bigger clothes. I cried because my fiancé and I made a gorgeous little guy. A little dude who will have so much love as he continues on in life. I cried mostly because he's going to keep growing. His hands will get even bigger. He'll grow out of more clothes. Some day, I won't be able to hold him and rock him. There's nothing more beautiful or rewarding than being a parent. I'm so so thankful for this chance. ❤️
