EBF- how often do you feed during the day?

Question

I always wanted to EBF but I ended up having to supplement due to slow weight gain and supply issues.  I’ve was able to increase my supply and was doing well but this weekend my LO has been wanting to nurse every hour for like 30 minutes!! It got me thinking - how often do EBF babies who are gaining lots of weight eat?

Whenever she's hungry. Sometimes she eats and burps a bunch and has more room. There's no routine for me

Whenever she wants. Sometimes 10 mins later, sometimes 4 hours later. She slept 8 hrs without food last night

Keep in mind feeds go from start time to start time! So if you are only getting 30 mins in between, you have to count the hours from the time she started eating!

I follow eat play sleep schedule, he typically goes 2-2 1/2 hours between feeds during the day, in the evening he will occasionally want to eat every 1 1/2 hours

Depends on age as well.  My son is 11 weeks and generally goes from 2.5-4 hours apart during the day.  Now he’s started going between 3-6 hours at night between feeds.  And they also get soooo much faster at eating a bigger amount.  He can eat in 10-20 mins from both sides not including burping.  
If he sleeps longer at night, he will nurse more often during the day to make up those feeds.  If he’s up every 3 hours at night, he’ll eat longer stretches during the day.  But he’s very routine about at least 6-7 feeds daily.  Every baby is different

I feed on demand. My Little Bird came into the world at 7lbs 2 oz and at his 3 month check up yesterday he was 12 lbs 7oz.
Sometimes he eats every hour, sometimes he waits a good long while. Last night he slept for six hours. It depends?

Baby tells me, but generally between 1-3 during the day. At night I get 1 4 hour stretch, and the 2, 2 hour stretches

My kid cues constantly so i feed her on a schedule, every 2 hrs. She does a 6-8 hr stretch between feeds at night, so i try to make sure she's fed frequently. In 8 weeks she's gained almost 5# and she was 7# 9oz at birth.

I feed on demand. Breastfeeding mothers shouldn’t follow the clock like bottlefeeding mothers do. Baby tells me when he needs feeding through his cues. Also I can tell by my boobs

My little guy was born at 7lbs11oz and is now 2 months today and 14 lbs. EBF. Fed on demand. On average probably every 2 hours sometimes more frequently sometimes less. Still varies quite a bit.
