Hello ladies!

Over the last week we have been transitioning from EBF to formula... I’ve been pumping and mixing in some of my breastmilk with the formula to get my LO used to it - as well as starting to wean myself to limit engorging.

My main question is- I read that for formula fed babies, it’s approximately 2oz per pound.. I’m guessing that my LO is close to 15lbs (4 months) which adds up to be about 30oz per 24 hours...

NOW, my main thing is that I’m noticing that he’s drinking closer to 35-38 ounces/24hrs... he’s not spitting up or anything and always finishes his bottles.

Am I missing something? Could he be drinking more because I’m mixing breastmilk and formula? I’m so scared to give him too much.. could a growth spurt be affecting the amount he’s drinking?

I’m new to the formula aspect of things so I’m not quite sure what to expect or what is ok.

He has his 4 month shots next week and I’ll be bringing it up with his doctor but I thought I’d ask in the meantime!
