Missed miscarriage question

Hi all, I was spotting brown so I went to the ER on Friday at 5+6 and there was a heartbeat of 114. I have spotted on and off red and brown since then and had another ultrasound today in the clinic and there was growth to 6+3 but they could not find a heartbeat. So, it is a missed miscarriage. I am still waiting for my HCG results but I am almost positive it is a miscarriage as I am cramping really bad, but no heavy bleeding. The midwife says my cervix was closed. My question is, should I get a D&C since my body isn’t doing this naturally? Or is it too risky for ttc again? It makes me so sad to think I am carrying my dead baby and I just want it to be over with.
