I went for an ultrasound yesterday at (what I thought was) 8 weeks and was looking forward to seeing a heartbeat after a possible ectopic scare earlier. The tech immediately saw a heartbeart, then started taking all the standard measurements and such. But then paused and said “you have two.” ...!!!

This was so far from my radar that I completely genuinely asked, “two what?” 😂

Sure enough, once she maneuvered things around a little, we could see two little ones in there, both with strong heartbeats (144 and 153). I’m measuring 6w6d and 7w1d, which is a bit behind what I thought my dates were, so that has me feeling just a little concerned but my doctor said she sees no reason to worry, and will check their size again in two weeks. Suffice to say, this is the most shocked I think I’ve ever been! Still trying to wrap my brain around how to prepare for twins!! 😳👯‍♀️🤪
