Low iron 26 weeks link to autism?
I was just told by my doctor that my recent bloodwork showed my iron levels are low (10.2 where it should be at least 11.7). She recommended a slow release iron supplement, and I will have my bloodwork repeated at 36 weeks.
I’ve read that low iron can lead to preterm labor and low birth weight, and then I stumbled across a study (I can’t tell how valid it is) that potentially links low iron intake to an increased risk of autism. Has anyone heard this before?
