The doctor is not concerned about it. She just told me that her gums didn’t form together. And that it will grow together when her teeth come in or she will have a gap between her teeth.

That looks like a more severe lip tie. My son has one too and we’re scheduled for a lip tie release so we don’t have to worry about a gap between his teeth.

My daughter has one too. Doctor is not concerned about it. He said it’s over diagnosed

I know I already posted about my almost 2yr old having one that I just recently noticed but my 2mth old has one also that I just seen yesterday I'm going to bring it up to there dr at there appt in July because I dont want them to have problems with there teeth and my 2mth old has problems even latching to a bottle but couldnt figure out why well now I know

My baby has the same exact lip tie. I’m not gonna do anything about it. I don’t know why... my instincts tell me to leave it alone. It sucks cause latching has been a struggle but I still don’t wanna do any thing evasive.

Definitely looks like a lip tie as of now I dont think my youngest has it but my almost 2yr old I just noticed recently that she has one just not as severe she goes to her dr in July and maybe to a specialist because I dont want her having a gap when her permanent teeth come in as you can see in this picture she has a small gap right now

My son has a lip tie, though not quite as severe as this. I just saw a lactation specialist today about it because we have been having breastfeeding troubles, too, and I wanted to see if this was why. She gave me some strategies to try to improve his latch even with his lip and tongue tie, but said if it doesn’t get better in a week to schedule an appointment with an ENT to see about fixing the ties. 
If it isn’t causing issues with feeding (bad latch in breastfeeding or bad seal if bottle feeding) by letting air in and making them gassy or not allowing them to receive enough milk, then they said the tie isn’t a big deal and can be left alone. Though it may cause a gap in their front teeth later on. 
I’d definitely ask your pediatrician about it either way though. 😊
