I had my third cervix check today at 38+2, and I’m almost 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. I didn’t bleed at all with my first cervix check at 36 weeks, and I bled right after my second cervix check at 37 weeks only for a few hours and it eventually turned brown and went away. After my cervix exam today, I didn’t bleed until just now(2 hours after the cervix check). I just went pee, and after I wiped there was stringy, clear & bright blood tinged mucus (sorry tmi) but there was a pretty good amount of it after wiping 3-4 times. When I bled from my second cervix check, it was only blood and no mucus at all. Is this bloody show or could it just be from my cervix exam today? Also, I’ve been losing pieces of my mucus plug for the past few days now. Could this be my bloody show? Could labor be near? I’m also having light period-like cramping.
