Bug repellent?

Ok mommies, I need advice and recommendations on big repellent for my 8 month daughter. I live in Texas where the Mosquitoes are bad and my daughter loves to be outside. When did y’all start using bug repellent on your babies? And what kind did y’all use?

We use Avon skin so soft  Bug guard, and it works great and smells good too, my sons almost 8 months and we’ve been using it for a couple weeks now!

I actually asked my pediatrician about this today. She said if you can get away with not using deet, that’s great. But some people don’t do well with essential oil blends for bugs. She said don’t get deep woods deet. No more than 45%. She said any of the “family deet” big sprays are fine and work the way she’d like to keep the babies safe. And wash it off before bed ❤️
