Visiting baby at hospital?

I’ve asked everyone to please not visit until we are home from hospital because I don’t want baby exposed to germs and such and be passed around immediately after birth. Although I have asked nicely in case of people not respecting wishes, can I have hospital staff escort them out if they do show??

Hell yeah you can. Have you met any L&D nurses? They are badass and do not give a SHIT about anyone but you and your baby...and your partner too...kind of lol.

Yes you can. You can tell your hospital you don't want visitors, they will respect it. Some birthing centers will even have a password for patients and only the guests that know it can come in.

My hospital said they will even come up with an excuse if visitors come and you are tired of having them around or if someone shows up uninvited. They will come in room and say something like ok its time to do such and such and ask the visitors to leave. 🤣

So just a thought to consider, but I actually prefer people to visit in the hospital (no one holds baby except maybeee immediate family) so that when I’m home I can adjust and relax without people trying to come over. 
You’re on such an adrenaline high usually in the hospital it’s not so tiring to have people visit there. 
I love coming home and having zero pressure and being able to adjust and find out what is comfortable and what works. 
Just a suggestion to consider. 
But either way, you don’t have to let anyone hold the new baby. It is not rude at all to say No. 
and most if not all labor and delivery areas have locked doors and have to be let in and if you tell the check in people no visitors they tell them for you and won’t open the doors.

My hospital actually asks if I want visitors but I’m so private no one really knows how far along I am😂😂😂 33 weeks on Saturday ♥️ I’m not telling anyone when I go into labor.

You can tell staff not to allow anyone besides your SO. I personally probably won't tell them when I'm in labor, just call them after baby is born
