Does your man have earrings?

The guy I've been talking to has his ears pierced... it honestly doesnt bother me obviously but my parents are kinda strict.. I realize him having his ears pierced doesnt change his character or anything but would it be rude of me to ask him not to wear them when he meets my parents for the first time? I dont want my parents to see his earrings and then automatically judge him based off of that🙄🙄🙄🙄

My boyfriend doesn't wear earrings but you can clearly see he used to. Your parents will just need to get over it though, it's like him asking you to dress or wear your makeup a certain way to meet his parents. I don't think it's neccesarily rude but I wouldn't ask him to do that.

My husband has his ears gauged and always has plugs in. He had them pierced when we first met and started stretching them in high school. My mom never cared. She's covered in tattoos and has 7 ear piercings, and a tongue and nose piercing.

Mine doesn’t have them but it wouldn’t bother me if he did. And I’d never ask him to hide something so insignificant around my parents—if something like that makes them uncomfortable it’s their fault and they need to deal with it.

Kinda like asking someone to not be who they really are. If they worry that much about earrings, may not bring any guy home. :(
