My husband ruined my hair

Ok so before I go further I should tell everyone my hair is my baby. I’ve grown my hair out for about 5 years it touches the middle of my butt it’s that long! I personally have been the only one to trim it. I’m going back to work tomorrow after having my son in March and wanted a trim and figured I’d let my husband trim it since it’s gotten so long I can’t really reach the back as well.... biggest mistake of my LIFE. He cut 7 inches off 😭 I sobbed for a good 2 hours last night. He keeps telling me I’m over reacting and that it’s “only hair”!

I know it’ll grow back but am I over reacting?????!

I don’t feel like I am! I asked him to TRIM it and even showed him where to cut it!
