How did you Deliver?

Question

At my 20 week anatomy scan (I was 21 weeks along) my doctors noticed my placenta was lying a little lower than normal. It's not covering my cervix in anyway but is right near where the opening is at. 
I just had my second scan done at 24w, which is three weeks later from my first initial anatomy/measuring scan. My placenta is STILL close to my cervix. I have yet another ultrasound scheduled in 10 weeks to determine if I'll need to schedule a c section or if the placenta moved while the pregnancy got closer to delivery....
Any of you ladies experience this? Did your placenta move to where you could give birth naturally? Did you end up having to get a c-section?
Also, any information about c-sections would be cool too. I know what they do for the procedure, it's more the aftermath and what to expect. I'd appreciate it as I would rather know what can happen, how long it takes to heal ect. just in case I do end up having to go that route. I'm trying to stay open minded and remind myself that a healthy delivery is a safe delivery and that's all that matters, but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed to not have a c-section. I've got a toddler already! Mama would not have time to relax and heal. 😐🤞

Emergency c section, recovery was a cake walk. I much rather would have stitches in my abdomen and not on my crotch lol. I actually wanted a scheduled c section and I could hit myself for not asking for one. I will never attempt a VBAC, hell to the no C section all the way 😂 this was the only surgery I’ve ever had and the birth was traumatic but that’s for 1.5 million other reasons. The recovery was a breeze! If you end up needing one just take all your medications even if you are not in pain at the moment. Drink tons of water, get moving ASAP after the drugs wear off, I felt great about a week pp I mean like pre pregnancy great lol

C-section. She couldn’t engage so we decided early on it would be c-section. Best decision ever!! We knew the time, the day of her birth in advance & could prep our lives & minds. No stretch marks. Vagina tighter than before - it happens sometimes from c-section. Pain was shit but bearable. She was born and scored a perfect 10. One healthy little baba. All the other babies in hospital were either natural or emergency c-section and all had issues, water on lungs for all 3 of the naturals weirdly enough. She latched perfectly the first time & I had milk for days. Now she’s a happy 2 year old. 💛 My experience was beautiful & perfect for me. But it is no everyone’s cup of tea. There are pros & cons to both but you need to decide what is right for you! Orrrr just listen to what the doctor says is best. Another lady I know ignored the doctor’s insistence on a c-section and her and baby almost died!!!! Ended up having to have an emergency c-section under anesthetic & she actually needed therapy for everything that happened. But she
4 friends of mine all wanted natural birth too but no risks though and they ALL ended in emergency c-section which is awful. 
On the flipside, my other friend had a home birth and was healed waay quicker than me plus she has that noddy badge now. And don’t say that isn’t something because most women frown when u say u had a c-section but applaud when you say homebirth. Women are women lol. Having a home birth is just so beautiful & comfortable and special. She literally had her baby in her own bathtub! And he is a perfect little 1 year old who is never ill either. I do admire her for it & she is truly an awesome person. I’m blessed to call her my friend. 
Other friend had her babs in hospital but with hypnotherapy - birth was a breeze!!!! Again, perfect for her. She’s now pregnant with no 2 & is planning a hospital water birth. She is too nervous a person to try at home. Again, she is more brave than me. And she also has zero stretchmarks (not that that’s important - obviously baby’s health comes first, I’m just thinking out loud) and a smoking hot body. 
Good luck with your decision & what matters at the end of the day is that you & baby are healthy, that’s it. Their birth is the smallest most unimportant time in their lives - we place way too much emphasis on it. Healthy entrances into this world - that’s all we should pray for. And then actual life begins...!

I have had both vaginal and emergency c-section. I would do vaginal 10 times over another c-section. I needed a internal stitch with vaginal too and had shoulder dystocia too. Not being able to care for my newborn as easily as I did with the vaginal was tough. The pain was frustrating and now my stomach has a shelf. A lot of people are fine with c-sections but I hated everything about it.

I had a scheduled c-section and it was amazzzzzing. Healed wonderfully (didn’t Labor before so that made healing easier) 
Things to expect: 
You still bleed after a c-section
When they take out the catheter it’s uncomfortable but not painful. The first pee after taking out the catheter is VERY uncomfortable and can be frustrating. Just try and relax. 
They leave the Epidural in for 24 hours after the surgery then they will take it out. 
Take it easy but also walk because walking helps you heal faster

My surgery was easy and fast, considered emergency due to the placenta thing and his heart rate dropping with some contractions. And recovery was super easy for me. I didn’t need my pain meds after 5 days.. Due with my 2nd in November and refusing VBAC. I don’t wanna risk it and never saw myself trying vaginal honestly..
