Dog turned away at vet
So I was just scrolling on Facebook and saw a post about a vet clinic in the area I’m from. The post was about a dog who was attacked and had serious injuries. Apparently the owner went to said vet clinic and was turned away by an employee because they said they didn’t have the proper equipment to help. They even referred them to the veterinary ER which aren’t open until nighttime. They found another vet to help but due to the first clinic not helping the dog lost a lot of blood and is still not stable and may possibly die. Do you think that they should have the right to do this? And what do you think about if the patient were a person going through this? Also do you think the vet clinic should be responsible for the bill?
I read a few comments and apparently this has happened before and the dogs died as a result. I have taken my 1 year old Aussie Collie there once due to not being able to see his regular vet. They were nice but super expensive. My dog just had diarrhea and I spent over $200 because of all the tests they ordered and medicine they prescribed that never helped.
The owner replied to the person who made the post and said they did have the proper equipment to help and that they had the ability to at least stabilized the dog before sending it away.
