Should I have a baby shower? I got given everything I need from my sister who has had 4 kids.

I have everything I need and I’m very environmentally conscious so I feel like if I have a shower I’ll just end up with a bunch of stuff I don’t need. But my sister thinks that people will be upset if I don’t have a shower because people like coming to celebrate. She thinks I should ask for cash for a cleaner or something for the first month or two or ask for donations to a charity. What do you all think? Is the baby shower for the mum or for the friends and family?

I think it's for the celebration of the baby. And you definitely don't have to do gifts. You can ask for diapers and wipes instead or everything else she suggested. But if you dont have one I don't think people will be upset.

We had gotten a lot of stuff from friends to but realized how much we didn’t have when we went for our registry. We are doing a casual baby-que in August when people get to bring spouses and families so my husband can also be involved and there!

I think it's for celebrating the mom and bringing a new life into this world. It doesn't have to be about the gifts. I've seen meet the baby baby shower after they are both, that's a great idea for you to do especially if you're not looking to receive any gifts. Celebrate you becoming a mommy with all of your loved ones! ❤

I didnt have one for my second pregnancy since it was a boy and my oldest is a boy. But you can most def have a Diaper Party.
