Did you have a baby shower with baby #3?

Did you have any kind of celebration for baby #3? I had a shower with my first and a baby sprinkle with my second because they were far apart and I had passed everything down, but it was a sprinkle and so much smaller than my first shower. I didn’t plan on having a shower or anything for this one, I don’t have anything besides a crib and a car seat, but I’d rather just buy what I need myself. My husband and my mother both think I should have something to celebrate the new baby, but I feel like it’s totally unnecessary and maybe even a little tacky? Unless I made it very very clear that I didn’t expect gifts. What are your opinions on it?
