Only sleeping if being held?

Johanna • Mommy of 1 beautiful boy! 5/20/2019 💙

Hey guys! So LO is 2 weeks old today and has been a champion sleeper so far and was fine with his bassinet. The other day he started cluster feeding or nursing for comfort (he will eat for a full 20 mins and then maybe an hr later wants back on the boob but only for like 5 mins before falling asleep). Then today he started getting really fussy, which has been unlike him, and wanting to be held nonstop and only sleeping if he’s being held. I know a growth spurt is common at this age, is it that? Is it ok for him to sleep on my chest at night? I dont want to do anything dangerous for his health and I don’t want to start any habits for him to always be held to sleep. But I know at this point having body heat and his momma close is comforting and that’s ok, I just don’t know what the best thing to do is.
