Spotting, help!

So i am 5 weeks and 6 days today and last night i had some very light red spotting. Then followed by brown spotting with very small light clots almost like discharge. I still have have some very light brown discharge this morning. I called my dr and asked if i could come in earlier cause my first ob appointment is only in another 3 weeks. The woman asked if i had cramping and if got heavier and i said no to both, she then said that this is very norma and it is just my body processing/going through all the changes and that i should wait for my regular appointment day. What do you guys think? Should i be concerned?
