Help. Painful letdown.

NachoMama • Married 9.1.18💍 Eleanor and Jillian's Mom 2.28.19❤ 6.4.20❤️

So I'm a first time mom and my little girl is just over 3 months.

Everything I'm reading is telling me that nothing is wrong, while at the same time telling me that something is wrong. 😒

So it's the pins and needles feeling of your foot falling asleep... But a little more intense. It doesn't go into my breast (so it's not clogged ducts or an infection-there's also no swelling or tenderness at any other times throughout the day) it's located more above my breasts (both sides) like... I can feel milk coming down from my shoulders(... I know.)

Our most common feeding position is laying in the bed (which goes along with the advise to feed "against gravity")

No position seems to help.

I'm not engorged. My supply has pretty well regulated itself. And I don't wait until I'm "too full" to feed again.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I pump 1-2 times a day while I'm at work. But it matches almost exactly what she's eaten while I'm away so I know that doesn't mess with my supply.

A warm compress is too much of a hastle and, honestly, I'd rather just suck it up than deal with the compress every time.

It's extremely uncomfortable. And happens every single time I feed or pump. And sometimes randomly too. Its only a short amount of time. 10-20 seconds maybe? But from what I've read... This type of thing should have been over around a month ago.

Is there anything I can do to help it? Other than this, breastfeeding has been super easy and wonderful for both of us, so if there isn't a way around it I'll just suck it up... Just curious if anybody else has this or if there's some magic cure all that I don't know about. 😂

Thank you!!!
