Beach baby?

What are y’all thoughts on taking a newborn to the beach? I want to take him but at the same time I just don’t know. He was born May 27th. Hot weather is coming which calls for beach days cause this momma LOVES the beach. But would it be okay to take a little newborn? Any tips? I’m afraid of him over heating or something.

You can keep them covered with a umbrella. But babies can’t use sunscreen until 6 months.

I wouldn't, he's so young and the sun can be very damaging, his skin is too sensitive and he can't use sunscreen. Plus it will be just too hot and you're exposing him to all sorts of things before his immune system is developed or he's had any vaccinations

I live on the beach and take my newborn out all the time. She is now 11 weeks old. I keep her under some shade and take an umbrella with me when I want to dip her toes in the water. That way she isn’t in the sun. I also have sunglasses and a big hat for her. Oh and I got her a portable fan so she doesn’t overheat.
