If your child wakes in the middle of the night, do you let them sleep in your room?

When my daughter turned 3, she started to sneak into our room at night! She would wake us, and we tried putting her back into her own room but just to have her come back a couple hours later. So...we made her a spot next to our bed and said that’s her bed when she decided to come into our room 😆 my parents said I did it and I eventually grew out of it 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I figure why not. Occasionally, she will stay in her room lol. Just curious what you other mommas have done!

My 5 year old still does this. She’ll sneak in and climb in right between us. She’ll grow out of it eventually. And she’s only little for so long. Plus moving her resulted in her either screaming in her room or coming back a few hours later.

I did it until I was like 14 I swear 😂😂 I was just terrified of sleeping alone for some reason! And my parents made me a spot on the floor lol. Eventually she’ll grow out of it I wouldn’t worry about it!

My oldest ended up having a spare toddler mattress on our bedroom floor for when he used to come sneak in. He did grow out of it by the age of 5, and our youngest son is 4 now and he’s got a spot but that’s between us in the bed 😂 as I can’t fit another mattress on our floor as we got our 6month old daughter in our room to. If it makes your life easier and your little one happy why not they not little forever. 😊

We waved the white flag. We have a dog mat on our floor for our 3 yo.  We don’t even start the night in his room anymore.
He thinks Chewbacca lives in his closet....but our room is safe.

I think I stayed with my folks till I was maybe 5? But then I sleep walked until I was 13 back into their room! I’d fall asleep on my bed then wake up in my parents and had no idea how I got there! I didn’t realize I was a sleep walker until I grew out of it so I genuinely thought my mom was bringing me into their room😂 apparently i told her in my sleep I had a nightmare 🤷🏻‍♀️ but yeah no my point is you’re doing good lol kids need to feel safe 👍🏻

Omg every. Single. Night. I can’t get her to make it through the night in her room. 
My husband won’t help me carry her and she screams when I try and move her myself. 
I don’t know what to do.
