Feeling Defeated

I have a week old new born. He is not latching. He pushes his tongue to the top of us mouth and pushes everything out. I’ve been working with a Lactation consultant and have been trying sns feedings and the shield. Im committed to nursing my baby.

His weight has been down so I’ve been working like crazy to pump enough. Pediatrician said to ditch sns efforts and use a bottle or finger feed with a syringe. Needs 2 oz every two hours.

Fortunately I had a great supply so I was keeping up fine. Tonight he seems to be cluster feeding and I’m finding that I’m rapidly running out of milk and my production is decreasing as well.

I’m crushed. I am worried I am not going to be able to feed my baby, never mind the way I was hoping to feed him.
