36+2 discharge? TMI PIC

I’m 36 weeks, had a doctors appointment and my first pelvic to check my progress on Tuesday.. I was 1CM dilated everything was good. Today I’ve started experiencing this colored discharge? Never had this before so is it normal? Could it be from being examined on Tuesday? It’s not necessarily blood but definitely darker than my normal.. it’s not my mucous plug is it??

That’s most likely a result of the cervical check.

Yes I had fresh blood and old blood with every cervix check last pregnancy. It’s from the extra blood flow to your cervix. Brown is old. If it turns bright red or increases in amount, I would let your nurse line know. But it should lessen from here on out.

I will be 36 weeks In four days and I noticed mine was darker this morning as well not quite as dark as yours though I was wondering the same thing but I also did not have a check up yet either
