Lupron trigger?

I’m triggering tonight, and my doctor just last-minute switched my trigger from Pregnyl (HCG) to Lupron. Anyone know if this is normal? Should I be concerned? The clinic told me I’d have to do the progesterone in oil shots now too. I was so looking forward to be done with shots. 😩😩

It’s common. I believe they normally switch away from hCG trigger if they feel you are at risk of OHSS.

My doctor switched me at the last minute as well because my estradiol level was high and I had so many follicles (they retrieved 27.) It helps to prevent OHSS. It was actually easier because the Lupron was subq. Good luck 🍀

That means your estrogen is too high so the lupron will bring It down. I believe that’s what It means. Did they tell you your estrogen level?

So for the progesterone shots, ice the muscle for ten minutes before the shot - you’ll be nice and numb and won’t feel it. Then for the rubbing it into the muscle, use a warm wash cloth, it helps disperse the oil to prevent knots. It’s worked like a charm for me for the past week after my embryo transfer.
