28 weeks and I’ve met my doctor once
So, last August we moved up state and I had to give up my amazing OB-GYN. I went with the clinic/hospital my insurance suggested. They seemed to have good reviews. But the first time I saw them was for an emergency ultrasound due to bleeding and cramping. All was well and 3 weeks later I saw the P.A. She seems okay, just dry and generally grumpy. She has me in and out within 10 minutes. 7 almost 8 weeks later the OB I was originally suppose to see moved practices so they recommended another. I have met her once. At 21 weeks. I have quite a history of pregnancy complications plus a BMI over 30 so I was not surprised when they scheduled me for NST after 28 weeks, weekly growth scans. But most of my appointments are with the P.A. I will literally have met my OB twice before I go in for my c-section. Which has yet to be pinned down to an exact date. My husband works out of town and it’s very important we set a date for his FMLA. Yet every time I have mentioned it I am dismissed. So, I guess my question is this, I am scheduled out until literally 39 weeks 2 days. But I don’t like my doctors office. Not only that, I don’t like my doctor. I do not feel comfortable with this woman delivering my baby. And I do not feel taken care of. I feel like a test subject. Should I just suck it up because I’m almost done or should I be looking into a new office? Maybe I’m just hormonal and feeling vulnerable because I am doing most of this on my own. My husband can’t help his work schedule but sometimes it gets very hard. TIA for any replies. Sorry if I’m just being a whine bag!
