Am I too needy?

Question

I like to see my bf every weekend, one day of the weekend. We have school together but we don’t really get to spend time together there, so I really value the day we spend together on the weekend. 
Recently he’s been coming over once or twice during the week for like an hour or less, and not coming over on the weekend. It just hurts because i’m spending less and less time with him and I feel like he doesn’t care. Every time I bring it up he says “I don’t have to see you every weekend” or “I came over yesterday” even when it was just for an hour. I just don’t know how to talk to him about it since I have multiple times  
Is it too much to ask for one day, to be able to expect to see him (of course, I’m completely understanding if he has family obligations or something, but in general)?

Honestly I get where you are coming from. I don’t think you’re ridiculous or that it’s too much to ask, but you have to remember he has a life outside of your relationship, as do you. I’m 22 with a 7 month old boy, and I’m dating a 22 year old in the city. We live 45 minutes away from each other. *baby isn’t his* last time I saw him was over a week ago. It really sucks not being able to spend time with the guy/girl you are dating. He works full time and crazy hours and neither of us live alone. Just communicate with him. Ask him if y’all are okay and tell him you want to spend more time with him.

You’re not clingy, you barely see each other and he’s making no effort to see you. My boyfriend and I live together now but when we didn’t he would always come to see me even if he was tired. He couldn’t stand to be apart from me nor could I stand it. The only time he wouldn’t come see me was if I said I was too tired or had to work super early the next morning. If he’s not putting in the effort then he doesn’t care
