Should I go to L&D???

I'm 38 weeks and have been having regular contractions for the past 4 hours. They're completely painless but my stomach becomes rock hard for 40 sec to a min. I called L&D an hour ago and they told me to drink two bottles of water and take a warm shower to which I did and I'm still having them! Every 2 to 5 min. What should I do
