Has anyone ever celebrated Juneteenth

My friend told me that her family celebrates it. She asked me if I celebrate it and I said no which is an honest answer. She proceeded to tell how I should celebrate because that’s when the emancipation set slaves free. It’s not that I don’t care either I just rather leave the past in the past. I’m also tired of people telling me how to act and what I should celebrate. I’m honestly over it. I have black family members and white family members. Would I pick a side? No not really cause I’m Switzerland.

People telling me to embrace natural hair and I’m like no screw that shit lol. Natural hair takes patience and I don’t have that much patience. Congrats to the ones that go natural. And they tell me to be proud of my heritage.
