Job and boyfriend?!

Ughhhhhh!!! I’m so frustrated! I just graduated high school about three weeks ago and obviously I need a full time job. I worked roughly 12 hours a week second shift at my job that I love while being in school. I had emailed my managers and boss asking about first shift openings because it work better with my personal life. My boyfriend works first shift and so does everyone else in my family. There was/is an opening and I got told I will never work first shift because my mom works first shift. Well my mom is quitting, yet they don’t know that. But they offered me a full time position second shift....my boyfriend works first and I would never be able to see him. I told my boyfriend and showed him the schedule I’d have and he laughed!!! (Now I’m just pissed because I have no idea why is he smiling and laughing like it’s funny) I guess I just need help to see the light in all of this! I don’t want to create problems with my relationship, as we have already started having problems like any normal relationship. Any advice or stories of your own to see the light at the end of this tunnel?!
