First Ultrasound- heart shaped uterus?
So I am officially pregnant with my baby measuring 6 weeks 3 days (which is only one day off from my calculations). So that’s awesome, but the tech told me I have a heart shaped uterus. The thing is, I had my son over 6 years ago by emergency c-section. Never had anyone mentioned my uterus being that way. Then after him, we have struggled to conceive for YEARS. In that time, I saw a fertility specialist and had my family dr order me an ultrasound to check things out. I was told I had a severely inverted uterus. The fertility specialist couldn’t even see my left ovary because everything was “bent” the wrong the way. My question is, because your born with the heart shaped uterus (aka Bicornuate uterus) shouldn’t someone have mentioned this to me sooner?! Can my uterus be inverted and heart shaped? Pic for reference. Thanks in advance! Ps- that’s the left side of my uterus, the right side is shadowy and empty 🤷🏼♀️
