Willing to date someone in Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force?

I’m just curious if you are willing to date someone who is doing service, anyone has or is dating anyone currently in any of them tell me how does your relationship work I’m once again just curious

My ex was in the Army. It was the hardest relationship I had ever been in dealing with the long distance - it takes a lot of trust, communication, & commitment to make it work but its not impossible. If you both truly want to be together you will find a way to make it work even during the hard times

When I met my husband, he was an officer in the navy. I'm laughing at someone's comment above as the early marriage chat is true, we were engaged within 4 months! He lived on the base and I moved into his flat about an hour away. He was deployed 6 months after we met and it was the hardest period of my life. He was on the submarine which protects the UK and as his location had to be kept secret, I had no idea where in the world he was and we had no contact for just under 4 months. As soon as he came back, he had made the decision to leave. We went through a year of hell while he tried to settle into civvy life( lost two babies in that time too) but I can say, that through a lot of love, hard work and sacrifice, we are out the other side. I'm incredibly proud of him and what he achieved in the military but it's broken bits of him. I'm just glad he's only 28 and we have the rest of our lives to form a healthy and happy life for ourselves

I luckily met my husband after he was out of the navy. But if we would have met sooner, I would have given it a try. I would have been pretty busy while going to college and with living in the dorms I never really felt alone. So the distance wouldn't have been too bad.

Just know it's possible that it will take up a lot of time from them, cause distance between you if they have to go do certain things, etc. my now husband was in the marines and he'd go places once a month,  a week or 2 during summer, etc. he was in the reserves. it sucked being apart, but we made every effort to work it out.

I couldn’t do it. LDR was hard with my husband and we talked everyday and see each other so often.  Image not hearing from him for months hellll no.!

Been dating my boyfriend for over 2 years and he’s about to go to officer training! It’s going to be so so hard but I love this guy with everything in me, so I have to give it a shot.

I’ve dated army and now Air Force it’s not easy but relationships aren’t in general they really test your loyalty and trust on both ends especially when they go on deployment you will have ups and down like any relationship I just feel these types of relationships take a little more due to the stress from the partners but they can be strong relationships like any other also this part I’m about to say is not trying to sound greedy don’t don’t anyone because of money anyway if you marry military you have great benefits for yourself to and if you have kids they have great benefits again not saying that to sound greedy it’s just the perk of these type of relationships 😊

I had a friend who started dating a guy they were together for about 5 months then he went to the service for 8 months. He came about and 5 months later they called it quits. I personally could never do it.

I respect the hell out of people in the military, police, firefighters, EMTs ect. That being said, I would never date one. I don't want to spend my life worrying about them. I have enough anxiety/depression of my own to deal with. Call it selfish, I'll probably agree. But that's my feeling on the subject.
