When to comfortably go on vacation?

Wondering if any moms who already have kids recommend when is a good time to go on a babymoon. This is my first pregnancy so I don’t know how I will feel in my late 2nd / early third trimester. We plan to go to Hawaii which is a 6 hour flight. What week do you recommend that is later in pregnancy but still comfortable to do more than just lay at the pool? Is it insane to wait until 30 weeks?

Second trimester! You (hopefully) won’t feeling sick anymore if you got that unfortunate symptom, and you’ll still be small enough that you won’t be uncomfortable to walk around and be active. During your 3rd you’ll be bigger and have more back pain and more tired. I’m going around week 18-20

We are traveling to Europe from week 14-17 and the Ob said that our timing was ideal.  I imagine I will still be taking it slower than usual (and even if I don’t want to my husband will make sure I do).

Early into your second trimester if you’re feeling alright. The bigger your belly gets the more uncomfortable you may feel.

I was a pretty comfortable pregnant lady until about 37/38 weeks but I did a 5 hour flight at 28-29 weeks and I would say I was at my max for that long of a trip. I wore compression socks and sat in the aisle to walk to the bathroom multiple times. The flight back had turbulence and I had to stay seated and it was terrible. I also got a ton of stares and not happy ones, everyone looked at me like I was a walking liability.
