Me and my friend watch a lot of moms on YouTube and also sometimes teen moms as well. She mentioned that she think teens might get influenced to get pregnant once they see that those teens are getting views and money for YT.

I find it pretty upsetting actually. Shows like Teen Mom were controlled by producers where they could show the good, the bad, and the ugly. And they did. The teen pregnancy rates declined. These YouTube channels are only controlled by the people they involve. So of course they aren’t going to air all of their dirty laundry and share the full realities of being a teen mother. You can make decent (and that’s putting it lightly) money on YouTube. Money that most teen parents will never see. I hate how they put “teen mom” in every single title.

Yes I’ve seen teen moms create Chanel’s and make it out to seem that their life is easy as pie. Share “days in the life of a teen mom.” And basically the whole thing is really boring. Lol show the truth like I know you cut out the baby screaming and you not knowing what to do for a moment and figuring it out. Adult mothers don’t have it that easy everyday, motherhood is not that easy in general so omfg stop with the quiet calm day editing.

I think it depends on the content. Realistic content is going to show them that having a child while young is hard, and almost impossible at times. But if you have someone who’s out there showing them that it’s so easy and fun it might make them think “oh wow it wouldn’t be THAT bad.”

I've been watching Teen Mom since the very first airing of 16 and pregnant. I was younger than 16, because I'm only 22, but I'd say for me it had no influence. Obviously anything that airs has some influence or certain people so I'd say for some yes and some no.

I said no but I meant to say yes cuz for me watching them as a teen made me have baby fever and I fantasized getting pregnant. I actually ended up pregnant at 19
