Foundation problem!! Help!!

Question

Okay so I have just started to do my makeup and I try to wash my face regularly. However, when I put on foundation or concealer, my skin gets super dry and looks blotchy around the sides of my nose and on my cheeks and forehead. I use the Morphe foundation and I have heard that it drys out skin. And I do have a very dry skin type. So any recommendations of foundation for dry skin?? And does anyone know why my face is drying up so quickly?

I used to have this issue and I used baby lotion to put on my face before I did my make up but I didn’t use a lot of it. Then I used a face primer. I used elf but if u want to use something else, go ahead. I would try those things before buying new foundation.
