Old wives tales or facts?

I’m Hispanic and have ALWAYS been told you should never hold a new born while on your period, because it will make them colic or become constipated. Has anyone else heard of this? Is it true or just old wives tales?...

I hear this often. I didn’t believe in it so one day I held my 3 day old nephew and from being a quiet and calm baby he literally became colic and would cry all the time from belly pain the doctors didn’t understand. Superstition or not I just won’t do it anymore 😂 just to be safe my family are firm believers in this
