Coming in the world strong at 37 weeks!

Emily

Hey beautiful Mamma's! Wanted to share my positive birth story to hopefully help any of you who have some anxieties!

So, last week my baby girl was breech at 36 weeks. My doctor attempted to flip her, but with no success. So my doctor set a c section date for two weeks later.

We found out a few days later at my appointment she had flipped back on her own! (Doesn't like to be told what to do;) ) we were so excited, but found out some other complications.

I'm a high risk patient, prone to blood clots, my baby is in less than 10th percentile, and that day I found out I had high blood pressure and potentially have preeclampsia.

Because of all these things and I was now in the middle of my 37 weeks, doc wanted her out very soon. We set an induction date for two days later.

Well, little girl had a different idea. That night I tested my blood pressure and it was extremely high for me. I called and they said to come in expecting to have the baby.

(I literally packed our bags an hour before this) !

My husband was taking a test, so my angel friends drove me an hour to my hospital.

I got checked in, and was diagnosed. They took me into L&D and soon my husband got there.

It was around 8 pm, and they started me on the pill inserted in the cervix. I was told to be patient and it most likely would take a few days. So I was surprised when shortly after I felt some cramping. Within an hour I was dilated to a one and contracting like crazy! The contractions were so intense and came on so strong and fast, by 3:00 am they gave me the epidural. - l love modern medicine;) I literally didn't feel anything! I was able to sleep the rest of the night, and was so loopy from the meds. At 7 the next morning, my nurse checked me and I was dialated to to a 9 1/2!! What?? We were getting ready now! About 8 doctors and nurses stood over me encouraging me to push. It was the craziest thing ever. Sadly we weren't having any luck. They decided to get me ready for surgery. I was so out of it the whole time they were wheeling me in and getting me ready. It all happened so fast. It was intense, but I felt relaxed and calm the whole time.

I remember hearing her cry and them show her to me, but honestly the rest of the day I could hardly keep my eyes open. I was so drugged up, and out of it. Lol but ya know, I'm just so happy my little Nugget made it here safely!! She came in weighing a whopping 4 lbs 2 oz! No NICU time, and as healthy as can be:)

It really has been a crazy pregnancy with all my risks, but I just wanted to share this with you and whatever you're feeling, whatever you might be worried about, you can get through it! Good luck Mamma's!!
